Welcome to the Midsummer Arts Faire

The Midsummer Arts Faire is Quincy's newest and most exciting arts event, destined to become the region's premier fine arts festival!

Spend the weekend in Washington Park where more than fifty fine artists exhibit and sell their work. Selected in a competitive jury process, this showcase represents diverse styles and techniques. You will find original oils and acrylics, vibrant watercolor, unique sculpture, dazzling jewelry, decorative ceramics, vivid photography and so much more.

We hope you will take time to talk with the artists while you enjoy their work. Knowing the stories behind the art is one of the great joys of buying directly from the artist. Many participants will demonstrate their art forms as well.

Complementing the fine art show are many other art activities, entertainment and great food. Invite family and friends, bring lawn chairs, and enjoy a weekend in downtown Quincy.

A fine art festival is the result of a generous community of sponsors and volunteers. We would like to thank our business, organizational and individual sponsors for their financial or in-kind support, and our many volunteers for their efforts.

It takes a community to support a fine arts festival. We invite you to get involved! Sign up to become a volunteer at the information booth.

The Midsummer Arts Faire was founded by local artist Pat Surface in 2004 with support from the Quincy Artists Guild and a coalition of community and cultural arts organizations. The 2005 faire is again a collaborative effort, presented with appreciation for Pat's passion and her uncompromising vision of what this festival can become.

Sincerely,
The Midsummer Arts Faire Steering Committee
